Three UK, are recruiting for a Compliance Monitoring Data Specialist.

The role provides ongoing monitoring to provide assurance that the business is compliant with its legal and regulatory obligations and related internal policies and processes.

Actively challenges the business on their ongoing management of compliance risks to support continuous improvement.


Other key aspects of the role include the development and maintenance of informative data sets to support a risk-based approach to compliance monitoring, and the production of accurate reporting of monitoring insights for senior management and various governance forums.


  • Undertaking monitoring of the 1st/front line operational business area's adherence to legal and regulatory obligations as well as internal processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Acting as an independent review and evaluation function to ensure that compliance issues are being appropriately identified, investigated, managed, and resolved; and that legal and regulatory changes are effectively identified and implemented.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the Data & Analytics team and the wider business, to secure access to relevant data required by the compliance monitoring team to support the execution of the agreed monitoring plan.
  • Creating relevant dashboards to support ongoing monitoring activities and delivery against the agreed plan.
  • Creating and maintain monitoring scorecards in SharePoint to facilitate deeper dives into key themes and automate feedback and recommendations.
  • Providing accurate and informative reporting for senior management and various governance forums on insights from compliance monitoring activities.
  • Engaging with 1st/front line operational business teams to drive compliance awareness, culture, and improvements.

Qualifications
Experience in Compliance within a regulated financial services institution, a regulator, or in the telecommunications industry would be desirable.

  • Ability to provide robust independent assurance on the effectiveness of compliance controls in the 1st/front line operational business and the fairness of customer outcomes, through conducting (and reporting upon) ongoing testing and monitoring through various activities, such as call listening and sample testing.
  • Ability to identify and communicate any corrective actions required, as well as making recommendations to support continuous improvement.
  • Ability to identify any potential risks and / or issues, to establish potential root causes, and to identify and report upon the regulatory, customer, reputational and financial impacts.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) complex and difficult messages effectively to different audiences tailoring the approach to suit audience needs.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders demonstrating personal resilience in challenging circumstances to achieve positive outcomes and establish credible compliance relationships with a network of stakeholders.
  • Ability to source data and produce meaningful insights to support compliance monitoring activity.
  • Ability to analyse and report upon key themes and trends in order to produce clear graphical representations and data visualisations.
  • Works well under pressure, is flexible and comfortable with ambiguity, and able to manage several tasks at the same time working to tight deadlines.

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.

Excluding retail, core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
