We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our Pathways Reach Out programme based in East Kilbride.

Our Pathways Reach Out programme provides a high-quality support service for homeless individuals transitioning from temporary to permanent or other suitable long-term accommodation.

This role benefits from flexible working, from the office, at home and also in the local community

Joining our team of Support Workers, you will develop positive relationships with the people that we support, focusing on their strengths and aspirations.

You will also support people to develop life skills and any other skills that aid independence.

We need you to be qualified to SVQ Level 3 in H&SC or SCQF equivalent or be willing to work towards this.

We also need you to have gained experience of working in a similar role and to have an awareness of legislation and policies relating to housing and social care.

Main duties will include:

Develop positive, respectful, and compassionate relationships with the people we support, focusing on their strengths and aspirations as individuals.
Have a high standard of professional integrity with colleagues and other professionals
Establish clear professional boundaries with the people we support
Actively practice personcentred planning and unconditional positive regard.
Take a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) approach.
Arrange and facilitate weekly meetings to develop and review support plans in collaboration with the people we support to meet their individual needs to independently manage in their tenancy.
Develop life skills with the people we support including how to maximise income, involvement in meaningful activities, budgeting, shopping, cooking and any other skills that aid to independence.

SCP £21,427-£23,194 per annum)

What you can expect from us
We value our staff as our greatest asset and will provide the following working conditions:

The post holder will report to the Senior Support Worker and through them to the Service Manager.
Your normal working hours are 39 per week, Monday to Friday
Your usual place of work is 37 Kittoch Street, East Kilbride, G74 4JW
You are also required to work in the local community, and you will be paid travel expenses between your usual place of work and appointments undertaken in the course of your duties Alternatively, you may also choose to work remotely from your home address
Working arrangements must be agreed with your line manager, based on the needs of the service
Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second.
