Job description

Our Planning hub advisers record the consultations received and use our online environmental data to assess the planning consultations and the appropriate response from Natural England.

The Planning Hub provide direct responses to Local Planning Authorities for lower risk casework, and we work closely with our colleagues in our local Area Teams, providing them with some of the evidence they require in their decision-making on high risk and high opportunity terrestrial and marine planning cases.

Natural England receives over 30,000 planning consultations a year; the Planning Hubs deliver a wide range of low and medium risk statutory casework responses to 19,000 consultations annually.
