The Company Overview:

Butler Rose are partnered with a fantastic business with a great long standing reputation who are looking to recruit a dedicated Management Accountant to join their team based at their site near Southport.

The business has a turnover of £50 million+ andis continuing to grow, they are a market leader in their field and are looking for a management accountant to join on a permanent basis.

Your new role as Management Accountant:

Key duties will include:
Preparation of month end management accounts to strict deadlines, reviewing balance sheets, profit & loss accounts

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Review quarterly VAT return

Calculate pre-payments and accruals

Periodic bank reconciliation of 4 accounts

Periodic overhead analysis and reporting, challenging department managers over spend and variances to forecast.

Weekly Reporting vs targets & budgets

National Statistics reporting

Assisting with the annual financial audit

Management of Utilities for various properties

Management of company credit cards

Understanding the cost of the company stock

Helping with the annual forecast

Other ad-hoc duties

Be an active and influential member of the team, working across the organisation to improve collaboration, communication, and effective working

The Experience & Qualifications Required:

QBE accountant or part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA

Attention to detail and strong organisation skills

Manufacturing experience would be a strong advantage
