Cross Resourcing are delighted to have been appointed to support our client, a highly regarded Law Firm in Edinburgh to recruit an AML Assistant to join their Risk & Compliance team, on a full-time permanent basis.

AML Manager


Location
Edinburgh


Salary
£21,000 - £24,000 DOE


Role Purpose
Support with the day-to-day risk and compliance management regarding Anti Money Laundering regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse AML CDD that has been obtained by solicitors/fee earners
  • Advise Solicitors/fee earners of alternative measure should standard AML requirements not be met
  • Manage time sensitive queries from colleagues, finding a resolution that comply with AML policies
  • Setting up and reviewing all verification requests
  • Respond to general AML enquiries from internal team members
  • Review all client and matter level risk assessments ensuring that outcomes are recorded
  • Assist the AML Manager in gathering and analysing data to comply with Law Society rules
  • Work with the AML Manager to ensure the firm is adhering to obligations by updating all information held for clients
  • Carry out ongoing monitoring/file reviews for existing clients
  • Escalate any risk information to the AML Manager
  • Manage all reporting

Key Skills
-
Proven KYC/CDD experience and knowledge of AML/CTF obligations:


  • Experience working in a Law Firm, essential:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an AML regulated environment, ideally within a professional service firm
  • Experience managing a high workload
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally
  • Flexible and adaptable to change, strong problemsolving skills
  • The ability to collate complex information and present a simple solution
  • Enthusiastic and initiativetaking
  • Highest Level of discretion and confidentiality
