We have an exciting new opportunity for a proactive, conscientious and organised person to support the Animal Care Team as a Lecturer to work within the Service Industries Department.

You will be responsible for monitoring, teaching and assessing students who are studying Animal Care Level 2 and Animal Management Level 3 aged 16 and over in both a classroom setting and within our Animal Centre based at the South Bristol Skills Academy.


Ideally you will have previous experience of teaching and you can demonstrate that you have supported students to achieve outstanding results.

Preferably you will also hold a Certificate in Education or equivalent teaching qualification and ideally hold an Assessing Qualification or be working to work towards achieving it.

You must be able to demonstrate that you have competence within the Animal Care Industry working with small mammals and reptiles.

You will also need to hold a minimum of a Level 4 Qualification in Animal Management.
