Cloud DevOps Engineer - Remote - Up to £70k plus bonus

Package:

Lorien's client, a market leading financial services organisation, the largest in its sector and well known for having an excellent and nurturing working culture, are currently looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their ever-evolving team as partof a recent and wide-spanning recruitment drive.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, design and implement technical solutions and system's with best practice in mind with assistance from senior members of technical team
  • Design and deliver new Cloud architecture patterns taking into account established standards and customer needs
  • Mentor junior team members to identify and implement best practices
  • Provide handson technical support to colleagues in order to assist with their own upskilling
  • Working with: Data Pipelines (with Python / SQL / Lambda), Data Models and Tables, Metadata and SQL

The skills/knowledge required:


  • AWS Cloud certifications such as Certified Solution Architect / Developer / DevOps Engineer
  • Previous exposure to banking, financial services, asset management or similar regulated setting
  • Background working in Agile/Scrum function
  • AWS Serverless tooling such as Cognito / Lambda / Athena / Sage Maker / EventHub / API Gateway / AWS / Glue
  • Proficiency with JDBC / ODBC / SQL
  • Previous exposure to and skills across of Python, NodeJS or UX Development
  • Any exposure to data warehousing/modelling, Big Data and/or Machine Learning would be a bonus
