Serco Justice & Immigration is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Catering and Stores Assistant at HMP and YOI Fosse Way, a brand-new resettlement prison in Leicester.
As part of our commitment to creating modern and innovative prison places that focus on rehabilitation, we are looking for someone who shares our values and is committed to reducing re-offending.
In this role, you will work with the Catering and Stores Manager and Business Services team in the delivery of canteen services to the whole establishment, ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Regulations, legislation, and company guidelines & operational procedures.

What you will need to do the roleWe are looking for someone literate and numerate, with a Level 2 qualification in Food Safety & HACCP, First Aid at Work, and Allergens in Catering.
You will need to have a basic working knowledge of a commercial kitchen environment, good interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication, excellent time management skills, and be physically able to handle the demands of the job.
