URGENT VACANCY - Production Assembler & Warehouse Packer

IMMEDIATE START DATE

TYPE - Initially Temporary for approx 6 months with a view to being offered a permanent contract
HOURS - EXCELLENT working hours - 8.00am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Thursday. (30 hours per week)

LOCATION - Near Dudley. West Midlands

PAY - £11.00 per hour

Position Overview

Well established engineering Manufacturer, who are part of a very large organisation with a Global presence, seek an experienced Production Assembler/Warehouse Packer to join their successful team near Dudley.

This vacancy has come about due to an employee recently retiring.

The job role will initially be a temporary contract stretching to around 6 months before it will be reviewed and potentially offered as a permanent role for the right person.

THE JOB ROLE:
Build and label products following standard work instructions whilst adhering to H&S and Quality guidelines.
Experience in warehousing, picking and packing will be advantageous.

Read, Interpret and follow basic work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble sub assembly material or finished goods.
Monitor and maintain inventory of material required for each work order
Undertake all compliance and department training within allotted time frame
Keeping the workspace clean and clear of any obstruction
Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.
Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
Assisting with warehouse inventory controls.

Skills & Experience

Ideally, 2 years + Manufacturing Experience assembly and/or subassembly
Able to follow work instructions/engineering drawings
Experience of quality control
Experience of 5s or similar (preferred but not essential)
Flexible approach ideally you will be willing to work between Production Assembly & Warehouse/Packing as required
Flexible to work additional hours to cover holidays etc (fully paid for additional hours of course).

There will be a simple and friendly 1 step interview/meeting with the Operations Manager and then the successful applicant would be offered an immediate start date.
