As a Barclays Reconciliation and Account Governance Manager, you will report to the Global Head of Payment Investigations within Global Payments.

Within this role you will be accountable for the effective governance and oversight for all reconciliationactivity within UK Investigations and for all accounts owned within Global Payments.

The primary function of the role is to monitor and maintain the integrity of the reconciliation activity.

What will you be doing?:


  • Leading and managing the governance and oversight of all Global Payments Operations owned accounts and reconciliations
  • Developing the global governance and oversight framework
  • Taking responsibility for all aspects of daytoday management of a team of 510 FTE
  • Liaising with stakeholders (VP/Director and above) across operations, technology, product delivery functions and coverage to ensure successful execution of Business Strategy
  • Being responsible for oversight of reconciliations within BAU operational environment to ensure integrity and risk profile is managed effectively
  • Managing the implementation of all new reconciliation activity through to BAU adoption, ensuring operational readiness and a sound control environment
  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements

What we're looking for:


  • Experience in Operational Management and owning complex and highrisk processes
  • Proven experience of operating a mature control environment and embedding solid risk culture
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully leading and managing a diverse change/ continuous improvement agenda
  • Solid commercial awareness and track record in contributing to meeting financial targets

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Account Governance standards
  • Good understanding of business unit policies and standards
