Are you interested in working with wood and contributing to the production of high-quality lumber? As a Sawmill Worker, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, operating machinery, and ensuring the efficient production of lumber products.

Responsibilities:


  • Sort and stack lumber products based on size, grade, and quality standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and meet deadlines
  • Operate sawmill equipment, including saws and conveyors to process logs into lumber according to specifications
  • Monitor machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation and identify any issues or malfunctions
  • Adjust and maintain sawmill machinery for optimum performance, including blade changes and sharpening

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a sawmill or woodworking environment is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to operate sawmill equipment and machinery effectively (training will be provided)
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a fastpaced, physically demanding environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a hazardfree workplace
