Spinwell is recruiting for a Pay and Benefits Assistant for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PAY AND BENEFITS ASSISTANT

  • Working with the Head of HR and Learning, responsible for implementation of the NS&I reward policy and the full pay cycle.

Including but not limited to:

  • Management and maintenance of the pay remit
  • Be responsible for coordination of job evaluation: conducting job evaluation panels, contributing on the panel and recording outcomes and maintaining the job catalogue and lead on annual Job Evaluation audit.
  • Supporting on the annual submission of the NS&I pay remit business case in accordance with the Civil Service Pay Guidance.
  • Complete pay market data surveys ensuring that they are completed accurately and within contractual timeframes and provide analysis and trends on the findings.
  • Conduct market analysis, identifying incumbent position against market and making salary recommendations.
  • Administer a range of benefits and work with the HR business partners to promote and manage supplier relationships.
  • Management of the Flexible Benefits system, e.g. making improvements or recommendations for additional benefits along with day to day liaison and issue resolution with the supplier.
  • Work with HR Managers to coordinate mid and end year appraisal process, ensuring all reviews are completed on time and that performance ratings are captured in the HR Information System.
  • Management of the annual performance variable pay process, relevant data, budget and administration

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PAY AND BENEFITS ASSISTANT

  • Strong analytical skills using a variety of data sources to present data in a clear format for varied stakeholders.
  • Experience of salary and bonus forecasting within designated budgets.
  • Experience of managing reward and employee benefits.
  • Experience of the job evaluation process.
  • Experience of managing a number of activities alongside successful delivery of adhoc projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
