JOB
PURPOSE
- To prepare, package & deliver trust uniform in line with trust guidelines on a daytoday basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in providing an effective and efficient customer liaison service so that all Synergy customers receive a quality service.
- Ensure that effective communications are maintained between customers and Synergy personnel and that prompt action is taken for service requests or complaints.
- Unpack and receipt in all deliveries and package uniform requests.
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are maintained, particularly compliance with the required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Deliver uniform to relevant wards/departments
- Record all uniform requests on excel for tracking purposes.
- Complete weekly stock checks to ensure stock levels are sufficient for demand.
Complete on annual stock check at end of financial year and record on excel as requested by Trusts Finance Team.
- To take a flexible approach to work within the laundry service, you will be required to cover holidays and sickness in Linen room.
- To participate in staff development and training initiatives.
- To undertake any other duties or tasks as reasonably required, this may be on a short-term basis to cover the linen assistant role due to holidays & sickness in the linen room
- To act responsibly when manoeuvring cages with uniform or linen and be aware of the public.

- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
HEALTH AND SAFETY/RISK MANAGEMENT
The jobholder will comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other supplementary legislation and is required to take reasonable care to avoid injury during the course of work and co-operate with the Trust's and Company's Health and Safety policy and statutory regulations.
To refrain from wilful misuse of, or interference with, anything provided in the interest of health and safety and any action, which might endanger yourself and others.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Effort
- To adhere to the Company Manual Handling policy and procedure in executing the safe transfer of uniform and laundry items around the Trust. This may require moving heavy weights manually and using trolleys/cages on a regular basis.
Mental Effort
- To be able to maintain concentration where the work pattern is predictable for example, maintaining high standards of accuracy when checking the contents of customer requirements.

- Exposure to distressing or emotional circumstances is occasional
Working Conditions
The post may entail occasional exposure to highly unpleasant working conditions in that indirect exposure to body fluids is implicit in the role.
Ability to work independently.
Proficient in Excel & word.
Knowledge & understanding of NHS banding.
