Job Summary:


  • Experience of managing health and safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Good Computer skills with emphasis on working with Word and Powerpoint
  • Be able to organize themselves and work to a timetable
  • Have practical knowledge of extrusion machinery
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with the wider team
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritize tasks

Tasks to Include

  • Carrying out and recording daily, weekly and monthly site safety checks
  • Coordinating annual safety inspections and liaising with 3rd party contractors
  • Arranging and reviewing safety drills
  • Sourcing and ordering health and safety consumables: Spill kit, first aid, PPE etc
  • Organising training and refresher training: First Aiders, FLT, Fire Marshalls, OH etc
  • Investigating and reporting accidents, near misses or fire incidents
  • Maintaining and updating policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Conduct safety training and safety briefs when required
  • Attend health and safety meetings
  • Liaising with 3rd party health and safety advisors
  • Managing on site health and safety audits and insurance visits
  • Coordinating outstanding health and safety recommendations or actions
  • Periodically provide holiday or sickness cover to produce production paperwork

Remuneration Package
Ø £27,000 - £30,000 pa depending on experience

Ø Life assurance / 10% contributory pension / Free Gym membership

Ø 30 days annual holidays (including bank holidays). Rising to 33 in 2024.

Ø Working hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm office based
