Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant seeking a unique and rewarding nursing experience? Are you eager to enhance your skills in a variety of settings, making a positive impact on the care of patients who require endoscopy procedure /investigation?


If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to be part of our Endoscopy Team within Homerton Healthcare NHS Trust.

We are seeking personable, and motivated individuals with exceptional communication and teamwork abilities to join our existing team in delivering patient-centred care and improving overall patient experience within endoscopy department.


As a Healthcare Assistant with demonstrable experience, you will be expected to provide support to all patients attending the unit for endoscopic procedures such as Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound and bowel cancer screening patients.

To provide nursing and personal care to patients as prescribed in the individual plan of care.

To support and assist nurses and doctors during endoscopy procedures

Maintained a safe and clean environment in accordance with infection control and risk policies.

To be able to use medical equipment safely and competently.


To maintain accurate written records of the patients condition, actions carried out and any observations, in accordance with Trust standards.

To verbally and in writing 'hand over' the actions and observations following each shift, to facilitate efficient communication and continuity of care
