The role in detail:


We're looking for a Technical Security Specialist to join a growing team as Lloyds Banking Group transforms into a leading digital organisation.

You'll help ensure that change is delivered both securely and at pace.


This role has a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from operating as a Cyber Security SME with extensive knowledge of LBG Security requirements, to having strong developer skills in order to work with our technical teams to ensure we are building securely.

We also love automating and developing things ourselves, so if you have experience with the Microsoft PowerApps suite, GitHub and PowerBI (or if you're keen to learn) then this could be the role for you


The day to day:

  • Assessing systems against internal security frameworks and baseline build requirements
  • Using DevOps tools to automate the review and approval of security artefacts
  • Using Microsoft PowerApps to automate manual processes across LBG teams
  • Working with Cloud Security Engineers to drive consistent reuse of security artefacts
  • Working on Cloud Security portals to configure policies
  • Understanding the impact of changes to technology roadmaps and any impacts to existing or new security artefacts (e.g. patterns)
  • Development, maintenance and enhancement of key Cyber Security Services; including: procedures, processes and associated templates and documentation

A little about you:

  • Be selfsufficient (eager to pick things up, learn what's needed and deliver)
  • Outcome focussed, able to deliver the end goal whilst ensuring the detail meets the outcomes needs
  • Broad understanding across Cyber Security domains and Cloud Security
  • Hands on technical experience and ability to read code
  • Someone keen on using data to drive change by pulling different datasets together to create useful dashboards
  • Developer experience would be advantageous
  • Experience of working with a range of information to provide insightful data analysis to key stakeholders.
