We have an opportunity


The purpose of this post is to provide a high level of administrative and office support to the Head of Region and the regional team as a whole to ensure the smooth and effective running of the team.

This post will be supporting colleagues in multiple locations and may be the first point of contact for many requests coming to the region.


This is an entry-level role with a strong emphasis on learning and development, prior expertise in the humanitarian sector is not required.

Specific opportunities will be made available for career development. There will be some opportunities for travel in connection with this role.

  • About the team
  • As a member of the International Directorate you will be part of a directorate responsible for BRC's international humanitarian response and disaster management, support to resilience programmes and organisational development of our partner Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world. The work of the International Directorate also includes humanitarian policy and advocacy activities and upholding and promoting International Humanitarian Law. British Red Cross' international work is carried out in coordination and partnership with the International Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement.
    This role could be for you if you have the below skills/experience
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills, including attention to detail and maintaining uptodate and accurate records
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage work effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with all basic Microsoft Office packages and information management systems
  • Upholds the fundamental principles and acts with integrity, in accordance with the Society's values (inclusive, compassionate, courageous and dynamic).
