Birkbeck, University of London, is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a Research Events Administrator to join our Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.

As a renowned institution, we are committed to reimagining education events and we need your expertise to help us achieve this.


As Research Events Administrator you will be part of a busy team of professional services staff, supporting research events, and organising and delivering a range of events and conferences across the Faculty.


The main duties will include:
- coordinating arrangements for the annual Faculty Arts Week,
- liaising with Research Centre Directors to organise events,
- supporting Faculty research centres and Birkbeck Institutes with the development of external-facing events, seminars and conferences,
- assisting with event promotion and supporting with content creation for social media blogs, news stories and newsletters,
- maintaining Faculty-owned playlists on the Birkbeck YouTube channel,
- identifying and maintaining details of event costs and alerting relevant staff to budget limitations.

To succeed in this role, you will have;
- understanding of current event trends across the sector
- ability to manage and analyse data to make informed decisions
- experience of digital and social media marketing and other marketing channels.


Remuneration
£19,105 rising to £21,425 pro rata, per annum £29,392 - £32,962, per annum, FTE) Grade 4 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.


Terms and Conditions
