Our client who are based in Alfreton, Derbyshire have an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, family business that has huge drive to take business to the next level.
Our client is looking for an office-based Purchasing and Quality Control Assistant to provide administrative support to the Purchasing & Quality Control Compliance Team.
Your roles and responsibilities as the new Purchasing and Quality Control Assistant:
- Preparing purchase orders and processing in a timely manner.
- Managing stock levels and adjusting orders/liaising with our global supply base.
- Communicating with the sales team and our authorised distribution partners to forecast future demand, and plan this into our purchasing system.
- Assisting our QC & Compliance Team with audits and documentation.
- Sending and receipt of products for testing.
- Answering the phones and communicating directly with customers and suppliers on a regular basis.
Your essential key skills as the new Purchasing & Quality Control Assistant
- 3+ years' purchasing experience in a productbased role.
- A natural ability to pick up new systems, and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and IT.
- Exceptional ability to work with Microsoft Excel with an advanced understanding of Pivot Tables, V Lookup, INDEX, IF, SUM and ROUND Formulas.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Passion and enthusiasm to make things happen with strong attention to detail.
- Keen eye for detail to improve quality of products on a continuous basis.
- Good analytical skills with an ability to create reports on factory performance levels.
- Career Orientated, proving strong ownership skills.
- Passion for materials, clothing, and footwear
Your desirable key skills:
- B2B Purchasing Experience in the wholesale and import industry.
- Willingness to travel and take part in meetings with customers and suppliers around the world.
- Experience in a Quality Control or Product Testing role
About the role:
- Monday
- Friday (Full Time, Permanent)
- 8:00am 16:30pm OR 9:00am 17:30pm with some flexibility offered.

£25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
