TheCentral LondonOutpatient Department is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and flexible member of staff to join our team as a band 3 Clinic Support Worker.

We are looking for a staff member to join us working in a variety of settings as part of a cohesive team.
This post involves working daily in and rotating through clinics, treatment areas, reception, medical records and note preparation, with direct patient contact at reception & in the clinical area - guaranteeing every day to be different and interesting.
We are well served by public transport with 3 tube stations and bus stops within a few minutes' walk.
Interviews will be held in early November.
You will work in 5 different areas:
- 2 reception desks, greeting patients on arrival, checking in and out and directing to other departments as well as communicating with other areas e.g. transport and interpreting services
- Running clinics supporting patients in clinic consultations as well as ensuring clinics run smoothly and solving problems as they arise
- Medical records preparing clinic lists in advance and preparing records to ensure all test results etc are available for appointments
- Treatment rooms you will support the registered nurses by carrying out preoperative screening and taking bloods after successfully completing training
Our dynamic team is composed of Clinic support workers and Registered nurses.
This integrated team are committed to providing excellent outpatient care alongside our leading Orthopaedic Surgeons and all other healthcare disciplines.

We have a comprehensive induction programme and carry out on site training, support e-learning and attend training at the main site.

Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 in care or similar qualification
- T. skills including PAS
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a healthcare environment with direct patient contact
- Customer care experience
- Able to work on own. with own initiative and in a team
- General admin skills
- Be able to adapt quickly and work under pressure
- Understand data protection and confidentiality
- Outpatient experience
- Clinical skills e.g. ECG / phlebotomy
