We are recruiting for a Part Time Laundry Assistant at Castlehill Specialist Care Centre.

Restful Homes Group - Castlehill Specialist Care Centre is currently on the lookout for a Laundry Assistant at our beautiful home based in Walsall.

Our Specialist Care Centre provides 84 spacious bedroom suites providing the highest quality of care to older residents of Walsall and the surrounding areas who require Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Specialist Dementia care with associated behaviours that challenge.

We also cater for older people with enduring Mental Health needs.

Shifts are 7am to 3pm (3 days out of 7)
Job Responsibilities

Uses and stores cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations

Carries out stock takes and orders cleaning consumables.

Safe use and storage of equipment, COSHH and cleaning products, ensuring all regulations are adhered to

Ensures all laundry is regularly removed from resident areas

Check items for damage or stains ensuring all clothing is labelled
-
Carries out small repairs to clothing as required
-
Sorts out items by colour, size, fabric type and appropriate cleaning process

Treats stains using appropriate products prior before processing

Finishes articles by drying, pressing and folding

Returns all clean linen, ensuring linen cupboards are neat and tidy at all times

Returns all clean clothing to residents and ensures they are neatly stored in rooms
-
Ensures the laundry area remains clean and tidy at all times and carries out routine cleaning and maintenance of laundry equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance needed

Ensures adequate stocks of laundry and cleaning products are available at all times

Requirements:

Current DBS on the online update service would be an advantage.
