Job Overview

Klura Labs is seeking to hire an experienced Microbiologist who is analytical, motivated, resourceful, quick thinking and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

You will be working within a multidisciplinary team and preparing high standard reports and presentations for the whole team and for our global commercial partners.

We are looking for an individual with broad experience of Microbiological research.

Essential skills:

A PhD or 4+ years industry experience in microbiology or related discipline
Good experience in aseptic microbiology techniques and working in containment level
Understanding and knowledge of ISO and ASTM standards.
Analysing samples, adhering to controlled methods and procedures while being able to develop inhouse protocols in line with the relevant ISO/ASTM standards to aid the high volume of sample screening.
Analysing and evaluating techniques and processes.
Providing specialist expertise as well as troubleshooting skills.
Ideal for someone with relevant qualifications looking to broaden their skills and to gain industry experience in a rapidly growing company.

Desirable skills:

Theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise of fungal research.
Previous experience within an industrial microbiology laboratory
A good knowledge of cell culture and maintenance would be highly advantageous.

The position will be based in Haverhill, Cambridge.

Full-time hours: 40 per week (Monday - Friday)

Permanent

Holidays: 28 days paid holiday per year (including bank holidays)
