_Petrofac is seeking a Rope Access Technical Focal Point - PAYE contract position for an initial 3 months, based in Aberdeen, UK._

JOB TITLE:

Rope Access Technical Focal Point**
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purpose:


  • To provide technical support to the Operations Manager and Rope Access delivery team.
  • Have a good understanding of the Company's Health, Safety and Quality and Environmental Policies
  • To provide business support and to add value to the business.
  • To ensure compliance and best practice adoption.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Act as Technical Focal Point (TFP) within the bounds of the Petrofac 'Technical Authorities Framework' to provide support and guidance to Petrofac operated assets where company act as Duty Holder or where O&M contracts are in place.
  • Carry out periodic review of Company procedures and have a full understanding of appropriate IRATA documentation, including ICOP and TACS and regulations such as Work at Height Regulation.
  • Provide support, guidance and mentoring to Rope Access personnel.
  • Promote discipline awareness capability internally and externally.
  • Act as Technical owner of the corporate competency standard for Rope Access within the Competence Management System (CMS).
  • Ensure that all employees directly under your charge are aware of their responsibilities with regard to the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and their obligations for safe working.
  • Provide recommendations for Continuous Improvement.
  • Provide knowledge, innovations, industry best practice and lessons learnt to Rope Access staff.
  • Provide technical support and attend client meetings as required.
  • Carryout inspections and internal audits as specified by the Quality plan.
  • Report any inspection or audit nonconformances using Synergy.
  • Activity promote and drive safety in the system design and the delivery of integrity solutions, ensuring improvements are identified and compliance with legislation requirements.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of professional and industrial technology and research in order to drive best practice into the service offering.
  • Undertake frequent site visits to meet and discuss any matters arising with Petrofac personnel and client representatives and have a safety focus.
  • Show personal involvement when visiting sites / assets by conducting random inspections of operations, site walkabouts, etc.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • The individual must have at least 10 years practical experience in rope access operations.
  • Must have, or have held, IRATA Level 3 certification for a minimum of 10yrs.
  • Hold a minimum of IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent.

Emergency Response Duties:


  • In the event of an emergency, carry out duties as identified in the emergency response
procedure or as directed by onshore and offshore Senior management. Personnel are

required to undertake any training associated with these roles.

Certification or Training Requirements:


  • Offshore Survival (BOSIET/FOET)
  • GWO
  • Offshore Medical (OGUK)
  • Additional medical certification as required by IRATA
  • MIST
  • Further mandatory training requirements, as per agreed training matrix
