Description
Support students in the newly refurbished Studio - Promote student and volunteer engagement with Spark- Support the Media Hub Compliance Manager in the daytoday running of Spark and in ensuring the station remains Ofcomcompliant
- Create content for faculty social media platforms and managing channels in line with faculty strategy
- Support faculty recruitment activity through school and college visits, open days and other activity which may include flexibility in working patterns
- Liaise regularly with academic teams to provide support to curriculum
Special Circumstances:
Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK for the length of the contract.
Qualifications and Professional Memberships:
- A degree level qualification obtained from the University of Sunderland
Key Knowledge and Expertise:
- Understanding of broadcasting technology and audio editing tools
- Understanding of social media platforms
- Knowledge of Ofcom code
Experience:
- Working in a radio studio as a student, volunteer or in a professional capacity as a presenter or in a production role
Competencies:
- Ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal format
- Ability to listen and interpret information
- Ability to resolve problems and provide solutions
- Ability to work within a team environment and also work independently
- Ability to use a wide variety of IT packages including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Ability to use Adobe Audition or equivalent audio editing software
Desirable:
- Knowledge of WordPress or equivalent content management system
- Knowledge of Zetta and G Selector software
- Experience of outside broadcasting
