Suffolk Wellbeing are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) Band 4.
After successful completion/passing of the training course you would be employed at Band 5.The posts will be based in either Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds, but travel will be required as part of the role during training and post qualification across Suffolk and Norfolk.
- This is a full-time training post which will comprise of 3 days in service (office based) 1 day at university and 1 self-directed study day per week. Working hours are between 8am and 8pm (Mon-Fri)
The Trainee PWP position involves undertaking the PG or UG Certificate in evidence based low intensity CBT at University of East Anglia (depending on qualifications).
We welcome applicants who are interested in supporting patients with anxiety and depression in using the techniques of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) self help.

There are a variety of definitions of CPD across the professions but it is usually taken to mean learning activities which update existing skills.
CPD is determined through appraisal with a personal development plan agreed between an individual and their manager, with the commitment of the necessary time and resources.
We are seeking an individual with the knowledge and skills to work as part of a team and be innovative in their approach.
You will need to be flexible and have the ability to cope in a highly demanding training role and demonstrate a high level of organisational skill.
You will work under the direction of the Team Leader/Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.The training course will start in March 2023.
