Description
Surrey has identified the requirement for both a directly employed Designated Clinical Officer (DCO) for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) (0.80wte) and a Designated Medical Officer for SEND who will be a community paediatrician, hosted within one of our providers.
The post holder will work in partnership with a 0.10/0.20wte Designated Medical Officer for SEND whose role is to cover core functions that can only be discharged by a Doctor.
Both the DCO and Designated Medical Officer for SEND work in close partnership with the Local Authority, Family Voice Surrey, Surrey's Medical Advisors for SEND and commissioning colleagues.
