Yolk Recruitment is proud to be supporting a global manufacturer in their search for a Technical/Production Supervisor on shift who will take charge of the day-to-day operations and technical aspects of their manufacturing facility.

As they embark on a transformative journey toward operational excellence, this role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and drive positive change.

This is what you'll be doing as Technical/Production Supervisor:

Elevate the presence of first-line management on the shop floor, increasing visibility and ensuring smooth operations.
Safeguard all processes, ensuring they run safely within controlled parameters.
Champion a clean and organized manufacturing area by implementing standardization and 5S techniques.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Prioritize timely completion of all relevant documentation, including first off checks, daily machine checks, quality checks, weekly safety checks, and scrap recording.
Propel the manufacturing department's performance through the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide technical coaching and mentoring to technicians, operators, and technical personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate closely with the technical team to support process development activities.
Efficiently complete and hand over data collection documentation, such as shift reports.
Act as the goto person for addressing technical queries and issues, offering prompt solutions and resolutions.

The experience you'll bring to the team:

Time-served engineer
Experience in the injection stretch blow moulding process is desirable.
Essential supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and techniques, preferred but not essential.
An inherent desire to drive operational change and challenge the status quo.
