Engineering Services Support Assistant
In the role you will work as an integral part of the Engineering Services team, providing a service to all users company wide, with Engineering data, whilst operating within strict time constraints.
Key Duties & Responsibilities will include:
Department activity planning & metrics:
- Working with functional leaders, maintaining the overall activity plan for Vehicle Programmes using Microsoft Project.
- Supporting the generation of Programme / Releasing metrics and work tracking documents.
Releasing Team:
- Validation of Loaded Engineering Releases and follow up Engineer approval.
- Actioning Torque Change Requests.
- Processing updates to Engineering Changes (Retimes, Cancellations etc.).
- Raising of IT Support tickets.
- Support Release Analysts and BoM Administrators with daytoday tasks where required.
Configuration Team:
- Creating documentation of team Processes and Working procedures.
- Features & Option updates, Aftermarket Changes, Territory changes.
- Support system set up to ensuring the accurate specification of vehicles.
- Work with the Release Team to assist the checking and progression of Engineering Releases.
- Liaison with Colour & Materials Coordinator to maintain accurate setups of Colours.
- Supporting Configuration Team with daytoday tasks where required.
General Office Duties:
- To include archiving R&D documentation, maintaining registers, fulfilment of adhoc engineering information requests.
Qualifications and Experience ideally required:
- Should ideally be educated to A-Level standard and/or have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship, although plenty of relevant experience with the right attitude will be considered.
- You should ideally be an experienced Technical Support / Engineering Administrator who is proficient in using the computer and has a good attention to detail.
- An understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials) structures would be preferred, as would previous experience of working in an Automotive manufacturing environment or an equivalent engineering industry.
- Should be able to concentrate & focus on a task for extended periods.
