Description

We are looking for Environmental Health Practitioners, Registered General Nurses or Allied Health Care Professionals who are seeking an exciting role within the field of health protection.

The post holder will be an essential part of a multi-disciplinary team providing the day-to-day health protection function, including the management of infectious and environmental hazards and supporting the response to major incidents.

This will provide an excellent opportunity for the development of specialist Health Protection knowledge and skills to manage cases and incidents.

This will require liaison with a wide range of partner organisations, professionals and the public across the East Midlands region.

Health Protection is a rapidly evolving discipline.

Your communication skills, ability to work flexibly and to take on responsibility as appropriate will enable you to be a crucial part of the response team.

Applicants must be able to provide evidence of further professional development and demonstrate that you are able to maintain your professional registration whilst in the HPP role.

Experience in teaching, research and/or audit would be advantageous.

There will also be a requirement for the post holder to participate in the out of hours on-call rota following appropriate training.
