What you'll be doing:


  • Providing finance support to the Joint Route to Contract (JRTC) Team to assist with the permissioning of contract funding via the Dreadnought Contract Permissioning Group (DCPG) approval processes
  • Performing data analysis to support affordability and pricing discussions with key stakeholders around contract proposals and internal business cases
  • Responsible for the analysis of Estimate at Completion (EAC) data, presenting variance analysis data to APMs for review, understanding and challenge
  • Responsible for the analysis of Full Programme Cost (FPC) submissions into the MoD Annual Budgeting Cycle (ABC), ensuring movements from previous ABC in base data, risks, opportunities and uncertainty are reviewed, understood and challenged where appropriate
  • Providing input and challenge in contract negotiations
  • Responsible for maintenance of the Alliance cost model and EAC submissions
  • Responsible for quarterly inputs to the ABC and review of Forecast of Outturn (FOO) for the current fiscal year for Alliance Central Projects
  • Responsible the management and development of one direct report

Your skills and experiences:


Essential

  • Experience in project controls, project accounting or cost estimating
  • Highly skilled in the use of Excel
  • Ability to work independently and be adaptable when faced with challenging environments
  • Strong communication, analytical and problemsolving skills, particularly in translating financial data for nonfinance team member

Desirable

  • Experience in defence
