Part Time 30 hours per week over 4 days
We are looking for an enthusiastic House/Store Keeper to join our dedicated Theatre Team at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
You will be involved in all aspects of indirect patient care under supervision of the Team Leader, ensuring the tidiness and appearance of our Operating Theatre Department.
The position is based at Whiston Hospital, however the post holder may be required to work across both Whiston and St Helens sites.
- To work as part of the multidisciplinary team undertaking household support tasks
- To accept responsibility for specifically delegated functions within theatres which the Team Leader feels are appropriate for untrained staff to undertake
- To ensure the health and Safety of patients and staff are considered at all times
- To ensure that privacy and confidentiality of patients is paramount and is not compromised
- To be aware and assist with maintaining stock levels in theatres for clinical and nonclinical items
- Ensure that theatre supplies are appropriately stored and that stocks are at the levels set by the materials management team
- All stock is to be checked against delivery note and put away when brought from logistics on a weekly/daily basis and ensure correct correspondence with purchase invoices and report any discrepancies
- To ensure stock is rotated according to their expiry dates
- To ensure the theatre department including nonclinical areas are clean and tidy at all times
- To maintain staff changing rooms
- To ensure the scrubs holding area is clean and tidy at all times
- To maintain staff tearoom fridges and microwaves as per Trust Policy
- To maintained infection control and prevention as per trust policy
- To comply with all other Trust policies and procedures
- To collect/deliver items or messages to and from departments within the Trust
