Job Description:
About the role
Our 17-person Manager Research team is responsible for researching and selecting best-in-class asset managers from across the globe for our clients to invest in.
The equity research function within the Manager Research team is responsible for the researching, selecting and monitoring of long-only equity asset managers across a diversified range of global, emerging and regional equity strategies.
As a member of our Manager Research Team, you'll be responsible for:
- Conducting in-depth fund manager due diligence through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis to evidence fund manager skill
- Screening the relevant fund manager universe, meeting and selecting the best available fund managers, and preparing the materials for approval by the firm's Investment Strategy Committee (ISC)
- Articulating the decisions made, in particular to the Investment Consulting team, as well as to clients and prospects
- Monitoring equity portfolios to understand the key drivers of risk and return
- Work on bespoke client requests for manager searchers or reviews
Qualifications:
This role is for you if you have
- A background in public equity research fund manager research or company analysis
- Knowledge of both fundamental and quantitative investment approaches
- Analytical mindset ability to cut through the marketing spin and understand where a manager's edge truly lies
- Selfstarter who takes the initiative and has the confidence to express a view
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 25 years of investment experience
It would be great if you also have
- Clientfacing experience
- CFA or CAIA
