Based right beside Bishopbriggs train station, our amazing #TeamDonohoe are on the lookout for a fun and caring individual who has great banter and loves a good sing along to join them as a
Support Practitioner.



We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need previous experience in care as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need;
We'll even fund your SVQ/SCQF qualifications and your yearly SSSC fee

Shift Patterns


Our dedicated team provides tailored 2:1 support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and include early shifts, back shifts, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays as part of your rota.

Early shifts start at 8am, back shifts finish at 10pm, Waking nights and sleepovers. are 10pm - 8am.

Our shifts are flexible so let us know what times work for you During the day there will be 3 people on the early and 2 on the back shift.


Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you'll receive an additional sleepover payment of between £87.20 to £98.10 per night, depending on the needs of the service. Waking nights have an additional supplement of £20 per night.

The Role


You will join a dedicated team of
Support Practitioners providing support to 4 amazing individuals who have learning disabilities and other complex support needs, including physical disabilities.

The lady we support loves getting her make-up done and going to the pub.

She's a chatty lady who loves a laugh, going clubbing and is happiest when out and about but does enjoy the odd day in too.

She has a couple of close friends she enjoys meeting up with and is going on holiday with one of them later this month.

The first of the gents we support has just turned 21 and like most young guys he is enjoying life in his own gaff.

He Loves football (and most sports) he supports Partick Thistle and goes to most home games.

He loves the bright lights when he goes clubbing with the young lady we support and getting out and about.

Another one of the gents we support is a lover of spicy food, the hotter the better He was a merman in a previous life and would spend all day everyday swimming if he could.

He loves the feeling of speed and the vibration from his Go-Kart as it whizzes around the track but don't be fooled his fav place is a chill in his bed.

The third gent we support is the proud owner of the best smile and twinkling blue eyes in Scotland and is one of those people that everyone likes.

He isn't always hugely sociable but he will find a way into your heart.


As a
Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting these individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, personal care, meal preparation, administering medication and the management of personal finances.

You will support them to do the things they want to do out in the community and accompany them on any outings, including when attending health appointments.

You will take an active role in the planning and delivery of person-centred care and be supportive and encourage the people we support to express their views and wishes.

Our aim is to enable the people we support to live a fulfilling and valued life, where they can achieve their own personal goals and aspirations.

To be a great Support Practitioner, we'll need you have;

  • Great communication skills.
  • Able to think outside the box.
  • Caring attitude and approach.
  • Positive approach to learning.
  • Able to follow guidelines.
  • Confidence in the use of computers.

If you're successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration.

We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
