We have an exciting opportunity for 2 AO Dental Receptionists to join the team here at Memorial Health Centre, Tidworth.

This position for 37 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly will be considered relating to business needs.

Job description:


Working in an enriching area of DMS with an aim to increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the regional health service.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a friendly, efficient service to enable patients to access dental care.

Arrange appointments and recalls for all entitled personnel ensuring maximum use of the clinicians' time to meet Defence Primary Healthcare targets for dental health.

Offer administrative support for the surgeries, Senior Dental Officer, and the Practice Manager.


Person specification:

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Initial contact with patients and ensuring the reception area is always maintained and tidy.
  • Checkingin patients and raising the necessary documentation.
  • Answering telephone calls and receive all patients and visitors ensuing patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintaining the appointment system on DMICP and managing daily clinics on DMICP.
  • Reviewing each medical record on patient contact to check for out of date vaccinations, audios & health checks and make appropriate appointments.
  • Booking in all prosthetic work, referring this to the relevant Dental Officer and making the appropriate appointment
