The role:
Working as part of Open Mental Health, you will:
- Provide holistic, strengths-based interventions focusing on the needs of clients to improve mental wellbeing.
- Offer enhanced nonclinical support help for people who 'fall between' primary and secondary care and those stepping back down into primary care.
- Work alongside Statutory, Voluntary and Community partners drawing on community resources.
- Offer high quality interventions for people with moderate and serious mental health needs in a 1:1 and potentially group work capacity.
- Support using a psychosocial, recovery and psychologically informed approach
- Provide emotional support to those experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress including safety planning and 5 Ways to Wellness
About You:
You will need to:
- Have experience of supporting people with mental health challenges?
- Have experience of supporting people in emotional distress?
- Be a great communicator?
- Be great at building trust with those you work with?
- Have compassion, empathy and passion for supporting others?
- Be IT literate and be able to record and report information?
- Have confidence lone working and as part of a team?
- Be willing to learn and develop
- Be flexible in your approach

Your role will be to support people with issues including mental health, housing, substance misuse and family support as well as offering support to those in Crisis.
We offer comprehensive training, support and further career development.For some roles you will need to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Mileage is paid at £0.45p per mile
Hours:
Flexible.
Core hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday although we do offer an evening service which runs 4.30pm - 11pm where bank cover may be required.
Location:
The main office base will be central Bridgwater however we have satellite offices across Somerset covering Sedgemoor, South Somerset and Mendip.
