At HMP Forest Bank, we are looking for Recovery Support Volunteers with vision and passion to help support our service users.


You will be volunteering within the Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service with Change Grow Live and will be helping people change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to its full potential.


Responsibilities:

As a Recovery Support Volunteer, you will be in close collaboration with Recovery Coordinators within HMP Forest Bank.

This includes; assisting them in their caseload management and supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey.

Tasks will include; completing assessments, risk management plans and undertaking one to one work.


You will also be supporting service users moving towards release from custody by working with other agencies to ensure support is in place for addressing substance misuse and or recovery.


Working within a secure prison environment can be challenging but a rewarding experience, you will be provided with all the training and support needed to undertake this role.
