We are looking to recruit a Senior High Intensity Therapist to join teams working across Surrey in our Talking Therapies services.

This is a role for a qualified practitioner who is looking to expand their individual clinical practice to include digital, group & one to one CBT Step 3 NICE recommended interventions alongside providing clinical supervision to trainee and qualified therapists.

You will be part of an MDT working within a stepped care model delivering an NHS contract.

REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma) or equivalent: e.g. a recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology, a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy, or within a psychological therapy plus further post graduate qualification training in CBT, and significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the competences as required
  • Accreditation with BABCP
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services / routine outcome monitoring, risk assessments
  • Knowledge/understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
  • Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems
  • Knowledge of child protection issues and other relevant legislation
  • Able to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
  • Able to work under pressure, high level of enthusiasm and motivation
  • Able to work within a team and foster good working relationships
  • Ability and skills to act as an advocate for a new service
  • Flexibility of working times required
  • Location negotiable but must be able to visit other locations from time to time in order to deliver the services required
