The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Collection is one of the most comprehensive collections of decorative arts built by a private collector in the 20th century, celebrated notably for its unique collection of stone and glass mosaics.

The V&A has planned an extensive refurbishment of its galleries which requests contribution from an assistant curator until the completion of the project (delivery expected end of The appointed assistant curator must demonstrate keen interest and some knowledge in at least one area of the Arthur and Rosalinde Gilbert's decorative Arts collection.


The assistant curator will join an enthusiastic curatorial team to contribute to a large-scale gallery project, from the conception to the installation.

The post holder will benefit from a remarkable exposure to the various responsibilities of such a large
- scale project, working alongside the architects, contributing to a series of audience consultations, and developing their own expertise in one or several areas of the Gilbert Collection. In short, this is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone to develop and advance their career in the museum world.
