Friends of the Earth is looking for a Community Partnerships Lead to help us build and support partnerships with organisations working with those on the frontlines of climate injustice.

This is a brand-new role that will combine the strategic development and internal coordination of this work, as well as working closely with other organisations, community groups & networks across the UK.

Climate change is about justice.

It intersects with almost every other social injustice in our society and it has never been more important to connect these movements together to push for joined up solutions and big wins.

This role is about deepening these connections and creating meaningful solutions that help people thrive.


Key Skills and Attributes:


We're looking for someone with an understanding of how climate change intersects with other social justice issues and who is committed to expanding the environmental justice movement.


You will need to have experience of working respectfully with grassroots organisations and diverse communities of people (socio-economic backgrounds, race, gender, paid/unpaid) on campaigns, projects and wider community initiatives, and of supporting multiple relationships of this nature at once.

We are looking for experience of strategic leadership as well as the ability to manage and report on projects.

You will be a good communicator who can work across multiple teams and organisations and help guide and support their work.


The team:


This role sits in the Communities and Networks Department which supports our activists, groups, partners and networks across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to build their capacity to win change and build a fairer future.

Friends of the Earth believes that our ability to achieve change lies in people power, so this role and this department sits at the very centre of our campaigns and everything that we do.

full time, 30 hours over 4 days
