These posts are a fantastic opportunity to complete a funded postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (for Eating Disorders) while working in a community adult eating disorder service


If you have a core profession and are interested in a new or familiar, highly rewarding clinical area we would like to hear from you.

These are band 6 trainee psychological therapist posts working in an adult community eating disorder service based in Salford which has contracts in six areas of Greater Manchester.

These posts are one (if criteria for year one is met) or two-year posts which will involve working in the service for 4 days per week and attending one day per week on a postgraduate diploma run by the University of Sheffield (Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-ED) [with associated supervisor training] | Clinical Psychology | The University of Sheffield).

These posts will convert to Band 7 permanent posts on successful completion of the postgraduate diploma in CBT.


For the four days working in the service:

Completion of assessments of a range of eating disorder presentations and delivery of evidence-based CBT interventions for eating disorders, appropriate to stage of training and experience.

Part of some of the available posts will be FREED Champions which will involve leading on the FREED Early Intervention pathway with support from our current FREED Champions.


To attend one day per week (remotely) during term time of the CBT-ED postgraduate diploma run by the University of Sheffield.
