Finance Manager - Global Private Equity firm
Our client is an independent global Private Equity investment manager, focusing on investments in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Headquartered out of the US, they have over 150 employees located in offices around the world.

The company funds have a proven track record and currently the firm manages over $30 billion AUM.

One of the Controllers who looks after the management company side of finance


Finance Manager

  • Timely preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, this includes preparing audit files, liaising with auditors to resolve queries and production of accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of the month end management accounts and report including financial information, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage quarterend close for a UK legal entity, including journal entries, review of transactions for completeness and accuracy, reconciliation of significant balance sheet accounts and calculation of advisory fees
  • Financial management of the corporate entities including UK corporate, LLPs, LPs and international entities and including outsourced entities
  • Assisting with the preparation for budgeting and forecasting in accordance with group assumptions, providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and commentaries
  • Review and oversight of work undertaken by junior accountants in other locations
  • Preparation of regulatory reporting to international governing bodies
  • Adhere to governance and financial control processes including review and update of finance policies and procedures; and compliance with ISAE & SOX controls
  • Assisting with annual tax reporting and related information in a variety of jurisdictions and entities
  • Adhere to the FCA's Conduct Rules, understanding that they set basic standards of good personal conduct
  • Assist with timely and accurate preparation and filing of monthly VAT returns for the various entities
  • Establish and maintain effective governance and financial control processes including documenting and maintaining appropriate finance policies and procedures.
  • Strong academics including being degree educated to 2:1 or higher
  • Newly ACA/ACCA qualified or upto 12 years post qualified
  • Happy to take someone from an accountancy practice working in audit/accounts prep (likely to be someone from a larger midtier practice firm)
  • Experience working on financial services clients is desirable but by no means essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Someone looking to join a growing toptier Private Equity firm in London
