The Ward Clerk is an integral part of the ward team here on ward A6. We are looking for someone who is proficient, organized, has good time keeping with excellent people and communication skills. They are required to provide a comprehensive service to patients and perform to a high standard the clerical duties.
A key part of the role will be to work along side our MDT to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
These tasks include (but are not limited to):
Communicating regularly with patient's relatives and loved ones to provide updates as a point of liaison, facilitating the attendance of patients onto the ward, updating the Hive system, answering and responding to phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
To operate within clearly defined limits of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines within the department and when necessary improve good working practice.
