Description

We require a Pharmacy Assistant to work in our busy unlicensed aseptic unit, providing chemotherapy dispensing services to the Sussex Cancer Centre, Oncology and Haematology ward patients, the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, Clinical Investigation and Research Unit and other patients within the Trust.


Duties within the aseptic unit include:

  • Cytotoxic and monoclonal drug reconstitution
  • Worksheet and label preparation
  • Assembly of drugs and consumables
  • Environmental monitoring
You will also take part in Aseptic-based activities on a weekend, as required.


Previous experience within a pharmacy or an aseptic unit and NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services is desirable but not essential.

Progression to band - NVQ level 2 and some experience at the BSUH Aseptic unit is essential.
