DevOps Engineer - Department for Work and Pensions

Salary:
£85,000

Job Description:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Department for Work and Pensions team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement DevOps solutions for the department's cloud environment
Work with other teams to ensure the successful operation and maintenance of the cloud environment
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Provide technical guidance and support to other teams
Participate in the design and development of new features and services
Automate processes where necessary

Technical Skills Required:

Expert knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Experience with version control tools such as Git
Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and ELK
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
