BEH -MHT delivers specialist drug and alcohol treatment services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Worker to join our new rough sleepers' team which is part of our established and psychosocial team at The Enable.

We are looking for dynamic workers to join our multi-disciplinary team with a strong commitment to providing high quality treatment with a client centred approach working specifically with rough sleepers.

Enable is a Substance Misuse Service which is run in partnership with Humankind.

We operate in Enfield to provide a wide range of substance misuse services to local residents including, substitute prescribing, community detox, criminal justice, community care assessments, a comprehensive group work programme, primary health care as well as a wide range of interventions to non-opiate and alcohol users.


We have recently been awarded funding to work with rough sleepers in community settings hence this post will require working from a variety of sites in Enfield.

This is a part time job for 3 days a week.

  • Work as a member of a specialist drug & alcohol team, providing information, advice, assessment, caseload management, recovery and harm reduction services to drug & alcohol users who are sleeping rough or have a history of homelessness.
  • Work in partnership with homelessness and health providers, and other relevant agencies to engage this vulnerable and complex population in treatment, working collaboratively to break down barriers and develop innovative and robust pathways to engage this client group in treatment.
  • Be responsible for undertaking drug & alcohol assessments of homeless service users, in partnership with homelessness and other health providers and will develop and implement complex, responsive and service user focused treatment and recovery plans.


You will need to hold a relevant qualification and will have experience of working within a community drug & alcohol service and opiate substitute prescribing as will as working with rough sleepers.
