Job Title:
Kitchen Porter


Reporting to:
Head Chef, Second Chef, General Manager, Deputy Manager, Supervisor, Head Stewards


Main duties

  • Carrying out various preparation and cleaning duties in the establishment under the direction of the management team
  • Assisting the Head/Second Chef in the provision of food to the agreed standard within the budgetary limitations
  • Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the food preparation and storage areas.
  • Cleaning of kitchen equipment and areas according to the cleaning schedule and management teams' request.
  • Porterage of any foods and equipment to wherever necessary, as required by the management team.
  • Assisting in the food preparation areas as required by the management team.
  • Maintaining and improving standards of safety and hygiene to create a healthy and safe environment.
  • Carrying out all tasks in coordinance with safe systems of work, assured safe catering and company policies.
  • Attending meetings and training sessions as and when requested by the management team.
  • Attending the workplace at the required times in the correct uniform to promote a professional image and good customer relations.
  • Assisting at special functions from time to time or as requested by the management team.
  • Carrying out any reasonable requests by the management team.

Pay:
£24,232.00 per year
