Commercial Analyst - Ingredient Solutions

Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a Global producer of innovative food solutions.

Our client is a leader in their field and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a global manufacturer for ingredients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive & motivated individual to join our client as a Commercial Analyst.

The role forms part of the sales team and will be working as a link between the Sales, Marketing & Finance teams with an aim to maximisethe performance & value for the P&L.

The role will ultimately influence decision making within the business.

  • Hybrid Working 12 times per week in the Office (Buckinghamshire) would be ideal._
- £40-45k + Bonus + Benefits (incl healthcare)_

  • What will you do?_
Commercial Control / Analysis

  • Review & propose actions for sales performance per channel & BU
  • Provide & comment on monthly variance analysis vs budget and strategic plan
  • P&L analysis of Key Accounts and priority customers
  • Support the commercial teams to develop investment business cases that deliver revenue expansions and facilitate the approval process
Pricing Management

  • Development and deployment of share winning and revenue growing pricing strategy
  • Work with sales teams and commercial finance controllers to ensure adherence to the pricing policy, ensuring appropriate governance and controls are in place for all customer investment
  • Leading the completion and analysis of all pricing activities e.g. Price elasticity, pricing tools, inter co pricing
  • Providing timely updated prices to internal stakeholders with market commentary
  • Work with the procurement teams to gain insights into latest raw material pricing trends
  • Provide input on new products, costing and pricing
Budget, Forecasting & Planning

  • Assist in preparation and submission of the commercial part of the annual budget & LRP
  • Working with the planning and sales team to ensure accurate forecasting in line KPI's
  • Ad hoc commercial projects analyse preparation & justification
  • Ensure other group & local commercial reporting

Key Skills / Competencies:

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial / business planning / commercial business planning
  • A good knowledge of MS office & SAP
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools including Power BI, QlikView or Lumira is a +
  • Analytical, handson, initiative taking, result driven with some of these skills; Excel, Powerpoint,Word
