**Your Role - Regulatory Lawyer
Want to join an award winning in-house Legal and Compliance team supporting the business on a range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues where the work is fast paced, interesting and with a real human dimension?

About you:

Up to 4 years' experience in corporate defence, ideally with experience in health and safety, food safety, trading law and related criminal litigation.
Experience working in a reputable law firm.
Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work cross functionally.

Your role:

Accountability for providing advice to the business on contentious and noncontentious regulatory issues in areas such as health and safety, food and product safety, trading law, environment, and Coroners' inquests.
Management of stakeholders including key members of the Legal and Compliance team, external regulators, and primary authorities.
Dealing with all enforcement action including prosecutions.
Instructing external lawyers and working with counsel where appropriate.
Advising the business on its regulatory obligations and supporting the success of Asda's compliance programme.
