At Department of Coffee and Social Affairs we want to create a coffee shop that is a meeting point for friends, family and colleagues to gather, to converse and to socialise - and enjoy great coffee.
In our Internal Affairs division, we provide specialty coffee, both filter and espresso-based, in an office environment.Our aim is to provide a social hub within the office for colleagues to meet up and share ideas over coffee.
We work with our sister company, Small Batch Roastery, to provide a seasonally changing menu of coffee beans.We are currently looking for an experienced Barista for one of our private coffee bars.
You will have a deep passion and understanding for coffee, and utilise all of your senses and skills to provide the highest quality coffee, plus have a keen understanding and experience of brew ratios, extractions, milk texturing and latte art.

THE ROLE
- Deliver top rate customer services at all times
- Support the General Manager as required
- Equipment management & maintenance
- Maintain & Promote Health & Safety values
- Coffee ordering
- End of month stock levels input
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A passion for quality coffee
- Minimum 2 years experience as a barista in speciality coffee
- Be a personal fit: Engaging personality with honesty and straightforwardness
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Willingness to always go the extra mile for our customers
- Clear understanding of milk texturing, brew ratios and extraction
- Can produce a minimum of three different latte art patterns
- Fluency in English language
