As a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Support Officer you will be central to supporting our digital project and programme managers in the delivery of new and exciting digital clinical solutions.

Your can-do attitude and inquisitiveness will be called upon to support scheduling and organising project meetings, boards and workshops as well as taking corresponding minutes and monitoring and hastening resulting actions.

You will also be responsible for raising purchase orders and supporting project managers to ensure core project documentation is completed and remains up-to-date.

More broadly, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the PMO providing insights where you've identified areas for improvement, and ensure projects are consistently using agreed templates and documentation against established processes.

The post holder will need to be highly organised and able to communicate to all levels of staff within a Trust environment and external stakeholders that may also include suppliers.

To provide administrative support to digital projects delivering across the Portfolio's five digital programmes.


Support includes organising meetings, minute taking, completing and managing purchase orders, ensuring key documents such as project action and risk logs are kept up to date and providing project and programme managers administrative support that will help enable the delivery of new and exciting digital health solutions.

Provide administrative support across the full project lifecycle, maintaining and developing project template documentation.

Scheduling and minute-taking of project meetings, workshops and boards.

Compiling, tracking and hastening issues, risks and actions resulting from meetings, workshops and boards.

Raising purchase orders on behalf of project managers.

Recording and monitoring project costs against project budgets.

Supporting project managers to ensure relevant project templates, documentation and processes are followed.


Through peer-learning and understanding of established procedures, support PMO Support Officer colleagues as part of achieving their personal development goals.


Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key operational, clinical and corporate Trust departments in the support of delivering new and updated digital solutions.

Championing and supporting the embedding of PMO services across the portfolio of projects.
